Austin - Rodeo Austin
Rodeo Austin has made a name for itself in the rodeo circuit with a top twenty PRCA ranking over the past couple years. A great place for heart-pounding action, musical entertainment and exciting carnival rides. Fifteen nights of pure entertainment. Event happens annually in March.

Fulton - Oysterfest
Located on the Fulton waterfront (Fulton is a small community next door to Rockport), the Oysterfest is a four-day event featuring oysters and more oysters, plus music and arts and crafts. Usually held the first weekend of the month, but sometimes in late February.

Goliad - Goliad County Fair, Rodeo and Parade
Held the third weekend in March.

Goliad - Living History: Presidio La Bahia
Held the weekend closest to March 27, this is a re-enactment of the Goliad Massacre at Presidio La Bahia.

Hallettsville - South Texas Sausage and Polka Fest
Held in late March at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Polka Mass, dancing with live polka bands, and German food aplenty.

Houston - Shoulda Been A Cowboy BBQ-Cookoff
Put on by the Shoulda Been a Cowboy Association every March - during the middle weekend of the Houston Rodeo, which is usually the second weekend of the month - this annual two-day barbecue cookoff includes great food and great, major-name entertainment. Spring - Springfest
Wine, art and food festival, Texas Style, in early to mid-March. In Old Town Spring, just 20 miles north of Houston between I45 and the Hardy Toll Road. Springfest celebrates Texas wines and wineries, Go Texan Food Product vendors, Taste of Texas restaurants, and the talents of local artists. Past events have had up to 19 different wineries present with 38 wines to taste. The festival recently expanded to include a Go Texan Food Vendor area where festival-goers can taste the different products including jellies, sauces, oils, etc. In addition, Taste of Texas restaurants are represented, offering samples of their fare. Temple - Temple College Jazz Festival
Held in late March at Temple College, this jazz festival brings together top professional artists, clinicians and hundreds of college, high school, and junior high musicians for clinics, competitions and performances. For more information contact Temple College at (254) 298-8554.
