Texas Festivals - December

Buda - Budafest Festival and Extravaganza
Held the first weekend in December in the small town of Buda, just south of Austin. Entertainment, arts and crafts, food and fun.
Galveston - Dickens on the Strand
A very popular event every early December. Galveston is transformed into Victorian-era England (that's Charles Dickens, natch, in the title) for a holiday festival with performers in period garb, games, food and lights.

Palestine - Victoria Christmas Train Ride
Take a ride on the Texas State Railroad and enjoy the Christmas spirit. The turn-of-the-century steam engine depart Palestine on three weekends of the month (check website for details). Old World foods, strolling carolers and even Santa come along for the ride.
Port Isabel - Christmas Lighted Boat Parade
Held early in the month, this water parade features sailboats, power boats and every kind of boat passing for review, decorated with lights and other Christmas accoutrements.
San Angelo - Christmas at Old Fort Concho

San Marcos - Sights and Sounds of Christmas
