San Antonio
San Antonio, Texas
San Antonio is one of the oldest cities in Texas, home to the Alamo and the River Walk, site of the annual party known as Fiesta, a city of diverse cultures and many charms.
It's one of the most popular destinations for Texans to visit, and for non-Texans, too.
San Antonio is one of the 10 largest cities in the United States, but it doesn't have the congested feel of many big cities. It's a clean, pretty town chock full of historic sites and attractions that will be of interest to all members of the family.
Perhaps that's why it's one of the favorite family destinations in the state.
There are a plethora of golf courses to choose from; two major theme parks and two major water parks; great shopping from upscale to bargain; a terrific array of dining options (San Antonio is most famous for its hole-in-the-wall Tex-Mex establishments).
